Zappos – Ten Core Values
Somehow, I get the sense that Zappos does far more than give Lip Service to their core values. In reality, they “embrace the core values to make Zappos a better place and to serve you better.” Here’s the list:
- Deliver WOW Through Service
- Embrace and Drive Change
- Create Fun and a Little Weirdness
- Be Adventurous, Creative and Open-Minded
- Pursue Growth and Learning
- Build Open and Honest Relationships Through Communication
- Build a Positive Team and Family Spirit
- Do More With Less
- Be Passionate and Determined
- Be Humble
I heart Zappos. I love what they’re doing in the organization because they are engaging people. At every level, with every interaction, you get the sense that Zappos folks get it. I think it has a lot to do with CEO Tony Hsieh, who is absolutely committed to their brand and culture.
I spoke with Tony this summer. If you haven’t already, check out my first post about the interview.
What companies do you know who “get” core values? And how do they do it? Share some specific examples here. (Sort of like Becky McCray’s Brag Basket.)
