Take a look at the graphic below (if you’re subscribing via email, you’ll have to click on the title above to see this image) and tell me if you see the dancer spinning clockwise or counter clockwise.

Supposedly, if you see the dancer spinning clockwise, you’re right brained. If you see it spinning counter clockwise, you’re left brained. There are differing opinions on the matter. However, evidently most people see the dancer spinning counter clockwise.

The first time I saw this on Lateral Action, I saw the clockwise spin immediately. I couldn’t image the dancer actually spun counter clockwise. Was the theory correct? I’m definitely a right brained person but I do have the ability to think analytically. Right?

If I had any doubt about the accuracy of this demonstration, my husband settled the matter for me definitively. He’s beyond analytical and he only saw the clockwise spin (at least after one viewing). Myth busted!

I know the image is not necessarily scientifically valid. Nonetheless, it’s good to stretch your mind every once in a while.

It took three viewings for me to finally see the dancer spinning both ways. How about you?
