You have to hand it to Mark Zuckerberg and the folks at Facebook. After the recent outcry surrounding Facebook’s new Terms of Service (TOS), Zuckerberg updated the Facebook blog today at 1:17 a.m., reverting to the pre-February 4th TOS. Additionally, Facebook has created a group to gather feedback from users about items that should/shouldn’t be included in the new TOS.

In plain language, Facebook addressed concerns. What is most impressive to me is this phrase that the new terms,

…will be written clearly in language everyone can understand.

Good on you Facebook. Not only for listening to your critics, but for addressing them in a (mostly) timely fashion in a way that folks understand.

Call me an optimist, but I’m hopeful about the new TOS.

How about you? What do you think of how Facebook has handled this situation? And if you have feedback for the new TOS, have you joined the group and left your comment(s)?
