As more and more people from our church friended us on Facebook, we saw a side of these folks that was revolting. Seriously. We had to leave the church it was so bad. Facebook prevents people from putting on a Sunday face. For some reason, they say things on Facebook that they would never say in person. I can tell you how it impacted us. The place where this differs for me is my marriage, where we almost never connect online, except via e-mail for calendaring and scheduling purposes. In fact, while my wife spends some time in Facebook every day, I *never* look at her page. Hmmm. Never really thought about that. I guess that I prefer to talk to here F2F in the evening, and get the whole story at once, rather than snippets during the day.
