Sharon,

It's good to hear how you've been about recalibrating as well. Great stories about you and David, and what God is doing in your lives. And I love that your own Mr. Cautious is living recklessly for God. Surely you're both in places of readiness to receive the blessings that come with that kind of abandon to self.

I'll keep you posted on my writing. You do the same!

So happy to connect again. What a small, small world. :)

Enjoyed reading this post, Cheryl. Definitely...there are times when I have to hit the Reset Button. I call it re-calibrating. In fact, David (my wonderful hubby) and I talked about that a day or two ago. He said something like this, "It's like when you're out in the ocean, sailing along toward a destination point, and along comes a wind...or storm...and it knocks you off course. When the wind dies down, you realize you've been blown off course slightly (or MUCH!). So what do you do? You re-calibrate and adjust your "heading" so, once again, you're pointing toward your destination.

What have I moved away from in order to move towards? Oh...let me tell you! We moved 1500 miles from our beloved, beautiful Virginia to not-so-spectacular Snyder, Texas! But David outdid even that! He moved over 5000 miles...from his family and friends, his job (of 24 years), his church (of 26 years)--even his own country--to follow the leading of the Lord and come here to marry me! And he's Mr. Cautious! :-)

In not-quite-so-dramatic fashion, we've both recently "moved away" from the traditional "structure" of church-in-a-building to house church. Again...Mr. Cautious is scratching his head, asking the question, "Lord, what are you doing?" But it's good and getting "gooder" all the time. God has a plan for us here at Cedar Row Apartments--a 60+ year-old apartment complex "on the wrong side of the tracks," that was once filled with the "low life" of the city.

One last thing. Your statement that God has been moving you toward writing. Again. That you need to write your story of His faithfulness in your life for others to be encouraged in their respective journeys. Yes. Do it. I'm interested. And that's what He's telling me to do, too.

Sharon
