In truth, there are things I would want to do differently, and some that I wouldn't. So typo or not, you are correct.

You're right Peter. We wouldn't choose to walk through hard things, yet those are the very things God uses to refine us. I'm reading by Jim Pace and and he says the same thing!

In my opinion, the things that seem hard now and the things we whine about now are the things that absolutely make us stronger. Think about all of the hard things in life that you had to go through. At the time, I am sure they very difficult and looking back there are probably somethings that you would want to do over again. The point is you did do those things, you learned a lot and your faith in God and others (possibly) grew stronger. God does not deceive us nor does He ask to do things we cannot do. Faith is hard, action is harder, whining and complaining is easy but lacks results.

All that said, I completely understand about the whining and I can whine with the best of them… :)

Aren't well meaning people sometimes annoying? ;-)

Reminds me of a book I read in the early days of separation & divorce. Why? by TD Jakes.

The short answer? Because you're anointed. My friend Sharon said, "sometimes people with the highest calling on their lives have to walk through some of the hardest things." I distinctly remember saying, halfway in jest, "then I don't want a high calling."

But I do. And I'm finished whining. For today, at least.

I totally get this, Cheryl. I call it my “Why, God?” mode and I hate it when people remind me that God never gives us more than we can handle… I know that He is with me all the time, walking the walk with me but I forget that when the walk is tougher.
