So Excited about this App to Practice Gratitude

Love, love, love this new app from Ann Voskamp.

I love that I can record my gifts using my phone, in a way that makes sense. And that I can take pictures of the gifts and share them with others on Facebook, Twitter and Flickr.

(Note: due to privacy concerns, I disabled the location settings on photos, which I have done for all photo apps, as a best practice in security.)

And believe me. I need all the practice I can get!

How’s Ann’s app working for you? It looked like it had a pretty nice approach, and I do keep a lot of things on my phone now. Why does anyone go to the grocery with a paper list anymore? I still see them flutter to the floor, so I know people do. But even “dumb” phones have a little note taking feature of some kind. I started that and then just tap-tap-erase as I go as a way to check things off. So given that I’m already transitioning to a mobile life, I’ll bet a little gratitude app would be nice.

The app graduated to my home screen on my phone. However, I had a glitch last week when I accidentally deleted my calculator app icon, and then had to do a reset, so I haven’t quite gotten in sync again since then.

Oh, and paper lists? Guilty. Though I do an free printable online list and go from there. You can’t always count on good reception in the midst of a cavernous grocery store, right?

Very cool, Cheryl. I think my morning run photos have become a sort of gratitude thing I keep track of on my phone (or, afternoon run, lately). Don’t you just love those smart phones?
